OMNIAid

The people at OMNIPLEX understand that our business is also part of our community. Being conscientious members of our community, we created our employee-run Good Samaritan community outreach and philanthropic program.

OMNIAid was created in February 1997 to identify, organize, and facilitate corporate-sponsored charitable events, programs, and donations in our community. Our charitable efforts were recognized during OMNIPLEX's 15th Anniversary celebration when we received congratulations from many individuals, including Senator George Allen (R-VA), Representative Tom Davis (R-VA), and Fairfax County Supervisor Michael Frey.

OMNIAid serves the following people in need:

  • Disadvantaged children and teens
  • The elderly
  • The homeless
  • Single mothers
  • Others in the community who need assistance

Since its inception, OMNIAid has contributed more than $4 million in the following ways:

  • Special Olympics of Virginia
  • London Towne Elementary School Mentor Program in Chantilly, Virginia
  • Rebuilding Together (formerly Christmas in April), a program to provide minor home maintenance support to the elderly
  • Homestretch, a program that provides school supplies to disadvantaged school children
  • Central Union Mission Organization, Washington, D.C., where we sponsor and provide Christmas gifts to 10 to 12 children each year
  • Medical Care for Children Partnership (MCCP), Fairfax County-based program to provide comprehensive medical and dental care for the "working poor" who are ineligible for Medicaid yet cannot afford private health insurance
  • Ways and Means Homelessness Prevention Food Pantry program in Chantilly, Virginia, where we help to stock the food shelves for those in need
  • Help a Soldier programs:
    • Any Soldier Program that provides Christmas cards, greeting cards, and packages to military personnel
    • Adopt a Soldier Program to send snacks, CDs and magazines to soldiers who have requested them
  • Matched employee contributions dollar-for-dollar for the Red Cross drive to assist the victims of Hurricane Katrina
