OMNIPLEX Founder and Chairman is Keynote Speaker at LEAD Virginia’s Fifth Anniversary Luncheon April 15, 2010
Williamsburg, Virginia -- Mr. Julien G. Patterson, Founder and Chairman of OMNIPLEX World Services Corporation, was the keynote speaker at the fifth annual LEAD VIRGINIA luncheon, and the kick-off for the new program year. LEAD VIRGINIA connects diverse senior business leadership to promote a statewide perspective about the quality of life in the Commonwealth. Participants in this senior business leader educational forum explore challenges, opportunities, and issue topics facing Virginia.
Mr. Patterson spoke to an audience of program alumni, 2010 class members, and Virginia LEAD Board members. In his speech, Mr. Patterson reflected on the tremendous success of LEAD VIRGINIA and the positive impact of the organization on the state since its inception in 2005. In his speech, Mr. Patterson discussed the impact of the nation’s economy on the Commonwealth and excellent progress the Commonwealth has achieved in its proactive response the economic down-turn.
Mr. Patterson took the opportunity to challenge the audience to continue work together and in his words, “lift together,” to position Virginia to richly benefit from the projected 2015 economic “global boom.” Mr Patterson strongly urged the Virginia LEAD audience to focus on workforce development, transportation, education, and technology as the primary key elements to position Virginia for the 2015 economic global boom.
In his closing to the Virginia LEAD audience he said, “We can be very proud of the many things we have accomplished in the last five years, but we are just starting to flex our muscles and realize our potential to grow. The depth, breadth, and sophistication of our (collective) reach increases with each graduating class. Today, we are only a whisper of what we will be tomorrow…the best is yet to come!”
