Julien G. Patterson Receives the Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council Ronald J. Simmons Award December 3, 2009
On December 3, 2009, at the Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council Annual Awards Program that celebrated the 32 years of VMSDC support to minority businesses in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Julien G. Patterson, Founder and Chairman OMNIPLEX World Services Corporation, was awarded the Ronald J. Simmons Award for outstanding service and advocacy to the Council.
The Award was established by the Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council to honor the Virginia business leader who has uniquely contributed to the success of the VMSDC mission and who has served as an advocate for the Council.
During 2009, Mr. Patterson hosted VMSDC Town Hall Meetings and Member Forums to share collective thoughts, insights, and professional experience on business management in tough economic environments, techniques for business survival, and real-life business lessons learned. Mr. Patterson has been recognized at the local, regional and state level for his innovation, entrepreneurship, professional accomplishments and community leadership. He is a Governor appointed member on the Board of Directors for the Virginia Economic Development Partnership.
