President and CEO, Julien G. Patterson, Speaks at the Presidential Classroom National Security Policy Program June 19, 2007

On June 19, 2007, Mr. Julien G. Patterson, President and CEO, OMNIPLEX World Services Corporation, was the Presidential Classroom featured speaker during the Nation Security Policy Program on Homeland Security, held at the Georgetown University Grand Ballroom in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Patterson spoke to an audience of over 250 Presidential Classroom scholars, discussing terrorism and its impact on lives, day-to-day routines, and the balance between vigilance and fear. He challenged his listeners to consider the difficulty of grasping the reality of terrorism; recognizing its affect on us, our society, and dealing with the unknowns that may lie ahead. Regarding homeland security awareness and protective measures, Mr. Patterson said, “The road that we are on is the right one and we have made some real progress in the journey, but we still have many miles to go.” He added that, “While the results are somewhat mixed, I strongly believe we deserve a passing grade on our accomplishments.”
Sessions of Presidential Classroom are attended throughout the year by only the most exceptional junior and senior high school students from across the nation and abroad. Presidential Classroom alumni includes: Members of Congress, the Supreme Court, as well as many successful and prominent national business leaders.
Mr. Patterson has addressed Presidential Classroom scholars in the past offering insights on global business and factors that affect its role in the world today.
