OMNIPLEX Receives Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) Award. October 4, 2006
On October 4, 2006, at the 2006 Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) Private Security Services Conference in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Mr. Paul Ellis, Training Manager, OMNIPLEX Security Services Training Department, received the Annual Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) Award "for constantly ensuring accuracy and consistency in his communications with DCJS". The award was presented by Ms. Kim Buckner, the Training Manager for DCJS. OMNIPLEX was the only winner of this prestigious award. Mr. Ellis stated that this award could not have been attained without the support of his training team members- Mr. Lynn Herring and Jennie McLamb.
OMNIPLEX's Security Services Training Department currently maintains Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) equivalent training programs for our Security Officers . We have a significant infrastructure in certified instructors; training coursework and materials; and classrooms and training aids. Our training program is accredited and provides college credits to employees. Security personnel are able to take all required tests and be certified for licensing in the State of Virginia by our program.
The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services's (DCJS) mission is to provide comprehensive planning and state of the art technical and support services for the criminal justice system and to improve and promote public safety in the Virginia Commonwealth. The Private Security Services Section of DCJS is involved in all aspects of registration, certification and licensing for the industry. For the State of Virginia, this Section is responsible for processing applications for registration; certification and licensing; ensuring that each individual, and/or business/training school meets the Virginia Code and Regulation requirements; and is involved in the actual issuance of the respective authorization.
